Technical Analysis
Capital Ingenuity can help you understand the complexities of technical analysis.
Technical analysis is the analysis of the behavioral trends of a company's stock. One of the most commonly analyzed technical factors is a stock's price chart. A price chart, especially when viewed along with volume data, can be a valuable resource to determine what other investors are doing and may be likely to do in the future.
In addition to price charts, there are many other factors that can be addressed in technical analysis. Such factors can include, but are certainly not limited to, money flow indicators, Bollinger bands, moving averages, weighted moving averages, and correlations. While there are many factors that can be analyzed, not all of the factors are necessarily relevant to every situation. However, an investor has the greater likelihood of making a more informed decision if they understand as many technical factors as they can.
At Capital Ingenuity, we help clients understand the many technical factors that can be used in making investment decisions. While some of these concepts may seem challenging based on some of the more complicated terms used on this page, technical analysis is actually very visual and easy to understand once some basic foundations are covered. Many investors actually find technical analysis to be fun.
